Call for Submissions

Thank you for your interest but submissions to ANZMAC 2019 are now closed.

Submit your papers from 27 May 2019.

The ANZMAC 2019 call for papers recognises a world of technological, social and political turbulence, challenging marketers to produce robust and actionable research. Our environment and ecosystems present formidable demands to traditional marketing, and as academics, we are in a privileged position to respond to these demands. Consider for example, the intersection of marketing and the developing megatrends, the shifting focus from growth to sustainability, innovation without compromising our way of life and action against climate change. Also consider the fragility of supply, consumer inattention among millennials, the role and impact of human-technology interfaces and automation, personalisation, marketing analytics, privacy paradoxes, data collection and use, and direct purchase response measures of marketing content and campaigns. We clearly live in a changing world. However, this presents an opportunity for research.

The theme of this conference - Winds of Change - challenges marketers to address global issues, such as those above, and more. We therefore encourage scholars to submit insightful (opinion, conceptual, theoretical or practical) research which investigates the effects of change on policy makers, marketing practitioners, customers and society at large. We invite our community to reflect on our changing world, to push the boundaries and consider the future for Marketing in disruptive and uncertain times.

GAMMA Submissions

Please note: the extended submission due date of 15 July 2019

The Global Alliance of Marketing and Management Associations (GAMMA) was created to provide global benefits and cooperation amongst participating organizations. Member organizations include the Korean Scholars of Marketing Science, European Marketing Academy, Japan Society of Marketing and Distribution, and International Textile and Apparel Association. GAMMA is the proud host of the Global Marketing Conference, Global Fashion Management Conference and KSMS Conference. The ANZMAC-GAMMA collaboration began in 2012 with the signing of a memorandum of understanding which saw the birth of the ANZMAC-GAMMA Joint Symposium. The Joint Symposium has since become a fixture at ANZMAC conferences, leveraging GAMMA’s network of researchers to make the ANZMAC conference a truly global forum for the dissemination of high-quality research. Through a bilateral relationship, the Joint Symposium also features in all of GAMMA’s conferences, which are held annually around the world. In 2020, GAMMA and ANZMAC, will co-host the Global Marketing Conference in Seoul in collaboration with the American Marketing Association (AMA). The synergies between GAMMA and ANZMAC will continue to bring together researchers from around the world.

In 2019, Victoria University of Wellington warmly welcomes our GAMMA participants to ANZMAC, and the ANZMAC-GAMMA joint symposium.

To submit your paper to the ANZMAC-GAMMA Joint Symposium:

We look forward to seeing you!
