SESOC Awards Nominations

Nominations are now open. Information regarding entry instructions & conditions and the application form, can be found on the SESOC Awards page of the SESOC website.

Entries close on 30 April 2023.

Awards will include:

SESOC Supreme Award

This is the Society’s Premier Award. At the judges’ discretion, this award may be given as an award on its own or recognise the overall winner of the category awards below.

SESOC Building Award

This may be awarded to any building judged to display an outstanding achievement in the advancement of structural engineering in design and construction.

SESOC Infrastructure Award

This may be awarded to any infrastructure projects such as bridges, tunnels, wharves, liquid retaining structures, sewage and water treatment plants judged to display an outstanding achievement in the advancement of structural engineering design and construction.

SESOC Structural Sustainability Award

This may be awarded to any project judged to display an outstanding achievement in the advancement of structural sustainability.

SESOC Structural Heritage and Culture Award

This may be awarded to any project for excellence in structural design and construction where heritage or cultural characteristics of the building feature heavily. Heritage projects may entail appropriate restoration, conservation, extension or refurbishment. Culture projects may entail any new construction or refurbishment that incorporates cultural aspects in design.

SESOC Small Practice Award

This may be awarded to any project undertake by a practice having ten or fewer employees.  The project should demonstrate outstanding achievement in any aspect of structural engineering that is undertaken by small practice.
