Stantec New Zealand<\/em><\/p>\n Where From – Where Now – Where to<\/strong><\/p>\n Thirty years ago Jim had a dream! It was about setting up New Zealand\u2019s first Trade Waste Workshop which he did and facilitated it for a number of years. With his extensive knowledge and experience of the New Zealand wastewater scene we are fortunate that Jim can take us on a journey of where we have come from, where we are today and where we are heading. Jim\u2019s address will traverse some history; the local authority\/trade waste discharger interactions; NZ\u2019s Waste Strategy and Trade Waste Bylaws; the RMA journey; cleaner production pre-treatment and treatment needs; resource recovery; M\u0101ori culture considerations and pending water reforms.<\/p>\n Jim has a distinguished 49 year professional career with consultants Stantec and their predecessor companies.\u00a0 He works for local authorities and industries throughout NZ in the three waters fields specialising in wastewater management projects.\u00a0 Passionate about sustainable development, Jim has given over 80 national and international papers and presentations, many of which were keynotes.\u00a0 He has participated in a number of national and international advisory groups, technical committees, and industry associated organisations.<\/p>\n Jim was made a Distinguished Fellow of Engineering New Zealand in 2016. He is also a Diplomat of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers, a Life Member of the New Zealand Water and Waste Association and of the Waste Management Institute of New Zealand.\u00a0 Jim was the winner of the IPENZ Supreme Technical Award for Engineering Achievers 2004 in the Sustainability and Clean Technology category, the inaugural winner of the IPENZ William Pickering Award for Engineering Excellence and was also the inaugural winner of our Trade and Industrial Waste Forums Environmental Champion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Jim Bradley Stantec New Zealand Keynote Where From – Where Now – Where to Thirty years ago Jim had a dream!
