Her research interests include sponsorship and corporate philanthropy, social marketing especially in relation to disaster response and preparation, marketing in the arts sector, and higher education. As well as research, she is dedicated to her teaching, and received a Victoria University Teaching Excellence Award (2010). Prior to joining Victoria, she worked for over 10 years in senior management roles in marketing and fundraising for the arts sector in Canada and New Zealand.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tClaire Williams\n\t\t\t\t<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/confer.nz\/anzmac2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/williams-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\">Claire Williams<\/h3>\n<p><i>Co-Chair, Administration, Finances<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Claire joined the School of Marketing and International Business as the School Manager in August 2015. She has over 25 years professional management experience in both the public and private sectors and has experience in roles such as Quality Assurance Auditor, Contract Control Manager and Academic Policy advisor. Claire is a Public Policy Honours graduate of Auckland University and holds an Advanced Trade Certificate.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDr Janet Davey\n\t\t\t\t<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/confer.nz\/anzmac2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/davey-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\">Dr Janet Davey<\/h3>\n<p><i>Co-Chair Doctoral Colloquium<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Dr Janet Davey is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Marketing and International Business, and is the current Undergraduate Programme Director for the school.<\/p>\n<p>Janet\u2019s PhD, completed in 2015, investigated baby boomers as healthcare consumers and is one of the few New Zealand research projects on this consumer cohort. Janet has taught undergraduate Marketing Research as well as examining major coursework in Service Marketing and Honours level Marketing Research Methods. She has an established research agenda focusing on value co-creation in service experiences and age-related healthcare consumption behaviour. Janet\u2019s research has been published in Journal of Services Marketing, Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics, Tourism Management, and Health Marketing Quarterly.<\/p>\n<p>Janet is a Life Member of the New Zealand Psychological Society (NZPsS) and a Full Member of the New Zealand Planning Institute (MNZPI).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDr Micael-Lee Johnstone\n\t\t\t\t<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/confer.nz\/anzmac2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/johnstone-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\">Dr Micael-Lee Johnstone<\/h3>\n<p><i>Co-Chair Doctoral Colloquium<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Micael-Lee Johnstone holds a PhD from the University of Otago. She is the PhD Programme director and teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. From October 2009 until December 2012, Micael-Lee was the Postgraduate Programme Director for Marketing. Her research interests lie in the field of consumer behaviour, specifically motherhood and consumption, sustainability, and retail marketing.<\/p>\n<p>Micael-Lee\u2019s work has appeared in journals such as the <i>Journal of Business Ethics<\/i>, <i>Journal of Consumer Behaviour <\/i>and <i>Journal of Marketing Management<\/i>. When she is not working, Micael-Lee enjoys participating in activities such as white water rafting, the \u201cTough Guy and Gal Challenge\u201d, and tramping.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDr Javlon Kadirov\n\t\t\t\t<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/confer.nz\/anzmac2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/kadirov-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\">Dr Javlon Kadirov<\/h3>\n<p><i>Paper Handling<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Djavlonbek is originally from Uzbekistan. He joined the School of Marketing and International Business in January 2016. He received his PhD in Marketing from the University of Waikato (New Zealand) and MSc in Marketing with distinction from Salford University (UK).<\/p>\n<p>Djavlonbek\u2019s research interests include marketing systems, marketing and society, sustainable marketing, and authentic brands. His research has appeared in journals such as the Journal of Macromarketing, Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, and Consumption Markets &amp; Culture.<\/p>\n<p>Djavlonbek is the winner of the George Fisk Award for the Best Conference Paper at the 2013 Macromarketing Conference. Prior to joining Victoria University Djavlonbek was a senior lecturer at the Eastern Institute of Technology (New Zealand). Djavlonbek is the Marketing Undergraduate Programme Director.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDr Jayne Krisjanous\n\t\t\t\t<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/confer.nz\/anzmac2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Krisjanous-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\">Dr Jayne Krisjanous<\/h3>\n<p><i>Special Sessions<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Dr Jayne Krisjanous is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Marketing and International Business and is the school\u2019s postgraduate programme director. Her areas of research include healthcare marketing, historical research in marketing, consumer lifestyles and social marketing.<\/p>\n<p>Jayne is an experienced teacher at undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA levels and currently teaches courses in marketing communications, consumer behaviour, tourism marketing and social marketing. Her extensive experience in the healthcare industry, in both clinical and management settings has allowed her to foster an academic and consulting involvement with this industry.<\/p>\n<p>Jayne is a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife and holds an Advanced Diploma in Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing, BCA Honours degree, MBA and PhD.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDr Matevz Raskovic\n\t\t\t\t<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/confer.nz\/anzmac2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Matevz-Raskovic.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/confer.nz\/anzmac2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Matevz-Raskovic-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a>Dr Matevz Raskovic<\/h3>\n<p><i>Co-Chair Doctoral Colloquium<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Born in Slovenia, Matevz worked as Assistant Professor of international business at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics prior to joining Victoria University of Wellington, School of International Marketing and Business in February 2018 as a Senior Lecturer. He was the 2017 conference co-chair at the 4<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;AIB-CEE chapter conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia and is guest editor for a special issue in&nbsp;<i>Journal of Business Research&nbsp;<\/i>on business with Central and Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Matevz received his PhD and MSc from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia in 2012 and 2007. He is the recipient of the 2013 University of Ljubljana President\u2019s Award for Outstanding Achievement of Young Faculty. Matevz was a Fulbright Fellow at Harvard University, FAS Sociology in 2017 and a visiting doctoral student at Harvard, FAS Sociology in 2010-2011.<\/p>\n<p>Matevz is a member of the Academy of International Business (AIB) and a board member of the AIB-CEE chapter since 2016. He is also a member of the European Academy of International Business (EIBA). He has advised the Ministry of the Economy of the Republic of Slovenia regarding issues related to economic cooperation with China and is a member of the 16+1 China-CEE Think Tank Network at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and its 16+1 China-CEEC Institute in Budapest, Hungary. He was Head of the Master of International Business program at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics between 2015 and 2018. His consultancy work back in Slovenia focused on building an international mindset for local Slovenian SMEs, as well as helping Slovenian firms in the Chinese market.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDr James Richard\n\t\t\t\t<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/confer.nz\/anzmac2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/richard-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\">Dr James Richard<\/h3>\n<p><i>Proceedings Editor, Paper Handling<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Originally from Canada, James joined Victoria University in 2002 as a part-time lecturer in Marketing Management (MMBA518). As a full-time senior lecturer James now teaches Market Research (MARK203), Internet Marketing (MARK 312), Critical Thinking in Contemporary Marketing (MARK 404), and Quantitative Research Methods (INFO513, PhD programme).<\/p>\n<p>Over the years James has also taught Direct Marketing (MARK 313), Cyberspace Marketing (MMIM523) and Marketing Management (IMBA518 on the International MBA programme).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tProf Peter Thirkell\n\t\t\t\t<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/confer.nz\/anzmac2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/peter-thirkell-square-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\">Prof Peter Thirkell<\/h3>\n<p><i>Chair Doctoral Colloquium<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Professor Peter Thirkell, PhD Ivey School, University of Western Ontario (Canada), is an Emeritus Professor of Marketing, in the School of Marketing and International Business.<\/p>\n<p>His major area of interest lies in strategic marketing and understanding the impact of Internet technologies upon marketing theory and practice. He also has interests in the intersection between marketing innovation, new product development, and design. He has commercial experience with a major exporting company, and with Colgate-Palmolive (NZ) Ltd. Professor Thirkell has published in academic and trade journals, including the Journal of Strategic Marketing, Journal of Market Focused Management, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Management and the Journal of Services Marketing.
