So if you\u2019re\u00a0coming to New Zealand, it\u2019s a good idea to make sure you have everything ready.<\/p>\n<p>When you arrive in New Zealand, you\u2019ll need to be carrying a passport that is valid for\u00a0at least three months beyond your intended departure date. Many people will qualify\u00a0for visa-free entry, but depending on your country of origin, some will need to apply\u00a0for a visa before they travel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you need a visa or permit?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>From 1 October 2019, some overseas travellers may not be allowed to travel to New Zealand without a visa or an NZeTA.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please read the details below and visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.immigration.govt.nz\/new-zealand-visas\/apply-for-a-visa\/about-visa\/nzeta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NZ Immigration Website<\/a> for further information and to apply for your visa or NZeTA.<\/p>\n<p><em>Things to note:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From 1 October 2019, if you are from a visa waiver country you must hold an NZeTA before you travel<\/li>\n<li>Allow up to 72 hours for processing, but it could take as little as 10 minutes<\/li>\n<li>An NZeTA request costs NZD $9 on our free app, or NZD $12 if completed online<\/li>\n<li>You pay an International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) at the same time as your NZeTA. This costs NZD $35<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>You do not need an NZeTA if you:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>are a New Zealand citizen travelling on a New Zealand passport, or a foreign passport that has a New Zealand citizen endorsement<\/li>\n<li>are an Australian citizen travelling on an Australian passport<\/li>\n<li>are from a Visa Required country and hold a valid visa for New Zealand &#8211; including a Permanent Resident Visa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>You are still required to provide:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Travel tickets or evidence of onward travel arrangements<\/li>\n<li>Evidence that you can support yourself in New Zealand\u00a0(approximately NZ$1000 per month per person)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Letter of Invitation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are an Author and require a letter of invitation to support your visa application, please email <a href=\"mailto:anzmac2019@confer.co.nz\" rel=\"noopener\">anzmac2019@confer.co.nz<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bio-security<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>New Zealand has strict biosecurity procedures at airports and ports to prevent the introduction of unwanted pests and diseases.
