Biography

I grew up rurally in the Marlborough Sounds so had always been an outdoors person but had never been around the Horticulture industry until I applied for a job picking apples as a 16 year old School leaver. In the 20 years between then and now  my journey has taken me through various roles and study to my current position as a block Manager for T&G Global at our Riwaka orchard. In my time in the industry I have been lucky enough to be given many amazing opportunities but have also come up against some challenges many of them unique to being a woman. This is why I have become involved in the ‘Women in Horticulture’ movement to support and encourage other Women into seeing the exciting possibilities this industry has to offer.
