Hayden Higgins

Biography
Originally from the Horowhenua region in the North Island, Hayden developed a keen interest in the agri sector from a young age which led to him working on a number of different farming operations across New Zealand and the UK in his late teens and early twenties.
After completing a Bachelor of business studies degree at Massey University, Hayden began a career in rural banking in 2003 and over the last 15 years he has worked across a range of agricultural industries with particular exposure to the wine and horticulture sectors.
Hayden joined Rabobank New Zealand in 2008 and until recently was a major agribusiness manager in Rabobank’s Hasting office. As part of this role he acted for several years as the chair of Rabobank New Zealand’s horticulture strategy team.
In 2018, Hayden joined the bank’s RaboResearch division – a dedicated research team made up of over 80 analysts around the globe, which is focused on undertaking research into the food and agribusiness sector for the benefit of Rabobank’s clients. In this role he covers the horticulture and viticulture sectors for the bank in both New Zealand and Australia.
In addition to his bachelors qualification, Hayden recently completed a Master’s Degree in Agribusiness from Lincoln University.
